Requests in vain

Staff ReporterWanneroo Times

We have submitted video evidence of a large black V8 regularly driving at up to twice the speed that other residents drive in and out of our cul-de-sac where up to a dozen children play.

I invite comment from State Traffic Operations Superintendent Michael Peters as to why repeated requests by me and other neighbours through the formal police traffic complaint form and consequent discussion with his staff at the Joondalup station have resulted in no more activity than phone calls to the offender requesting they slow down.

These same staff, and other officers approached on the street, have expressed exasperation themselves; but explained there was no direction from their managers to address this hoon behaviour.
