As my retired husband went for long walks to keep fit, I suggested he delivered the paper to our area: problem solved.
Now I’m writing to thank all the people who deliver my so-called “junk mail”.
It’s not an easy job. First, you have to fold everything and then deliver the items during the cold, wet and sometimes very hot days.
Thanks to them, I have saved thousands of dollars over the years by buying discounted items of groceries, clothing, hardware and so forth e.g. $10 off one box of washing powder.
To the homeowners who don’t have “No junk mail” stickers on their letterboxes, you provide part-time jobs for students, retirees and the unemployed.
A big thank you.
PS: Congratulations on the Times reaching its 40th year.
