Station solution

Staff ReporterWanneroo Times

Your recent update on the Butler station, Butler station starts to take shape, Times, April 16, was interesting and more informative than Transperth’s website.

I was interested to see the Butler station is long enough for nine carriages.

Stations on the northern line are long enough for six, but can be extended.

The busiest station on the line is Perth Underground. Who will pay to extend that?

Getting such long trains is a while in the future, we still have a lot of three-car trains running. But it will happen.

My solution is to build a station behind the old entertainment centre.

It would be long enough for nine-car trains and would save traipsing through the Underground to get on the Midland/Fremantle lines. Easy!
