I DO not generally go in to bat for political parties or aspiring politicians but Aboriginal leader Pat Dodson’s Federal Parliament move is a good one.
Mr Dodson is an intelligent individual capable of making not only a significant contribution in the Senate on indigenous matters, but also on a wide range of other complex ones.
I would like to remind those commentators who have suggested that Labor’s latest recruit is over the hill at 68 of an old saying: you cannot beat experience.

To dismiss experienced, successful people from putting their names forward at the pre-selection table because of age is to do so at the peril of our nation.
