Writer rests case

BARBARA Yates Rothwell, I was the author of the earlier letter headlined "Vet everyone" that you referred to in your letter last week's Times.

I also had an item in this newspaper many years ago about when, as a child in 1938 at Dover, I watched Jews driven from their homeland by the Nazis coming ashore hoping that Britain would take them.

We all knew who the terrorists were then.

Today this is a whole new ball game. They can be anyone, even our own countrymen.

Certain Muslims or "wannabes" who have been given sanctuary in this country are trying to spread their vitriolic gospels.

I rest my case.
