Auctions get results in Duncraig

COLD weather, an election and uncertainty about the direction of the property market did not deter potential buyers for 22 Langholm Place, Duncraig.

Five bidders contested the auction last Saturday and the home sold over the reserve for $1.17 million.

Selling agent Peard Hillarys sales associate Frances Goncalves said the four-bedroom, two-bathroom home in a stunning location opposite Granadilla Park attracted a lot of attention in the lead-up to the auction, with 100 groups through the home opens.

Mrs Goncalves said auctions in the area were becoming increasingly popular, as they created a very competitive buying environment and the opportunity to achieve a premium price with shorter days on market.

“This home was on the market for 26 days,” she said.

“There were a lot of people in the community who came to see the outcome and loud cheering from the crowd when it sold under the hammer.”
