THERE is space for all the family plus all the extras in this pristine beachside home.
Owners Prue Bolland and Glenn Taylor built and designed the home with Hollywood Builders in 2011 to fulfil their dream of running a bed and breakfast.
“We designed the house to run as a business as well as our home,” they said.
“We had always wanted to live near the ocean and when the opportunity to buy a block in the new development at Burns Beach came up, we bought lot 188 Fourmile Avenue and started planning.”
The two levels of the home work as their own private spaces, with three king-sized bedrooms downstairs all with their own ensuites, plus a laundry with a kitchenette, sitting room and study or theatre room.
Upstairs is the ultimate parents’ retreat featuring a spacious bedroom with huge walk-in robe and modern ensuite, as well as the open-plan dining and living room with a central chef’s kitchen, soaring apex ceilings and a balcony with views to the ocean.
There is also a fantastic outdoor entertaining area with a timber deck and covered and open-air sections, a barbeque, six-seater electric-heated spa and even a putting green for practicing those golf skills.
“We have always thought the property would also be excellent for a family with older children still living at home, giving the parents and the children their own privacy,” Prue and Glenn said.
“As well as the double garage, we have three extra parking bays on the premises, which would be a bonus with older children or for parking for a boat or caravan.
“Our close proximity to the beach and fabulous parks is wonderful as our guests are from all over the world and are always telling us how lucky we are to live in such a beautiful location.”
