Wanneroo, 44 Wishart Loop – $689,000 to $709,000

IN scenic Regent Waters private estate is this superbly designed, low-maintenance loft residence on 601sq m that is perfect for busy families.

Owners Lorri and Chris, who share the home with their sons Bailey, 12, and Tyler, 10, built the house a decade ago with Plunkett Homes.

“We absolutely loved the design of the home which was aptly called The Manhattan due to its mezzanine design,” Lorri said.

“It has a very large open-plan living area and a huge limestone stack in the centre of the home.

It also has a great outdoor/indoor aspect as the rear of the home is almost entirely floor-to-ceiling glass windows and doors.”

The design takes full advantage of the northern light, which fills the main living areas through the vaulted windows.

“My favourite place in the house is the living area; this area gets the reflection of the pool shimmering on the ceiling, giving it a very tranquil feeling,” Lorri said.

“It doesn’t matter if the kids are playing outside or upstairs, they are always in sight and this makes it a perfect family home for us.”

The home has also seen updated since it was built, most recently with the kitchen, which was renovated in the past year.

It now provides plenty of bench space, stacks of storage behind high-gloss cabinetry, Essastone benchtops and a Miele dishwasher.

The master bedroom is another top space with a walk-in robe as well as an ensuite with his-and-her vanity units.

The minor queen-sized bedrooms are located in a separate wing together with the family bathroom with spa bath and all come with fitted robes.

Stepping outside to the entertainer’s backyard, there is an inviting swimming pool behind glass fencing, a large lawn area for the kids and pets, and a timber-decked patio for alfresco dining.

The residence also has a whole host of extras including ducted Daikin reverse-cycle airconditioning, a gas point in the fireplace void, a double garage and solar hot-water system.

“We love the area as it is so close to Yellagonga Regional Park,” Lorri said.

“We often take advantage of the many bike paths and parks that are scattered throughout the park.”
