The highlight of the day was a close tussle between North Cottesloe Euroz, Mullaloo Barracudas and Sons of Scarboro in the open men’s final, in which all three crews came down a wave together.

North Cottesloe held on to win the first final, with Mullaloo coming in second.

North Cottesloe Coobs won the final of the under-19s, with Mullaloo’s Steelers and Black coming second and third and the Steelers went on to take sixth place in the reserves.

Quinns Mindarie Kool Kuts came sixth in the under-23 men’s division.

The next round will be held this Sunday from 8am to noon, hosted by Quinns Mindarie SLSC.

This is the first time a surfboat carnival has been hosted at the club.
