‘It was a great day,’ said the former ‘goal sneak’ who earnt the nickname Macedonian Marvel in more than 250 games for the Magpies before retiring in 1993.

The AFL Hall of Fame member was delighted to meet former West Perth players such as Bill Dempsey and Les Fong, whom he learned of as a youngster through newspaper Inside Football and interstate games between WA and Victoria.

‘It was just nice to meet the guys and nice to do that for the club,’ Daicos said.

‘I’m quite flattered ” I’ve been out of the game 20 years ” and chuffed that people are happy to have a listen in.’
