Australian Supermoto Championships: German Markus Class dominant at Wanneroo International Kartway

GERMAN superstar Markus Class had a dream run at the Australian Supermoto Championships held at Wanneroo International Kartway recently.

His perfect score of five wins and 125 points saw him comfortably crowned the open class winner ahead of Andrew McLiesh, who finished second in every race to collect 110 points, and Leigh Boujos, who took every third to finish on 100 at the November 18-19 meet.

He then went on to lead and win all four races in the pro championship, gaining another 100 points, with McLiesh again second on 88 and Luke Davis third on 80.

Boujos also continued his good form with a clean sweep of the five-race veterans class ahead of Bradley Trivett on 108 points and Dean Taylor on 98.

In the women’s class, last year’s champion Jessica Boujos also had a perfect run, winning the championship with 125 points, ahead of Stephany Kapilawi-James on 102 and Chelsea Blakers on 97.

The last clean sweep was seen in the Postie Bike Challenge, with Steven McQueen claiming the 125 points, followed by Ryan Woods on 110 and Grant Roncevich on 100.

Jake Folini-Kearns was the strongest rider in the clubman class with four wins and a sixth place to score 112 points from Jamie Makin on 96 and Michael McLiesh on 95, while Beau Erickson also took out four of the five mini-motard races to score 119 ahead of Jarrad Woodland, who just beat him in the final race, on 116 and Ben Stevenson on 88.

In the junior lites, Ryan Moscardini took three victories to win on 119 points from Jethro Carriage on 111 and Lucas Quinn on 105.
