Youngsters of all ages participated in the Netball 4 All program hosted by Carine Netball Club.

Hosted by Carine Netball Club, the low-cost program facilitated by Inclusion WA and Netball WA was set up last year to give young people of all backgrounds the opportunity to engage with the sport.

Inclusion WA Sport and Community Development Officer Eleanor Jones said almost 60 participants attended the Netball 4 All clinic last Wednesday ).

‘A great cross section of the community attended the program, in particular people from a variety of cultural backgrounds and of different ability levels,’ Ms Jones said.

‘Carine Netball Club ran a fun and informative session, teaching some of the basics of netball in a friendly and inclusive environment.

‘The clinics will be running every Wednesday from 4pm to 5pm at Wanneroo Districts Netball Association until July 2 and cost only $2 a session.’

Netball WA community engagement co-ordinator Claudia Etherington said following the program participants were encouraged to transition into mainstream opportunities at the association.
