Champion Hioki helps give locals a fighting chance

The Brazilian jiu jitsu black belt held a seminar at the M1FC gym where he shared his experiences as a featherweight fighter.

Gym co-owner Stephen Walton said they were lucky to have Hioki come to Joondalup and everyone that participated took something away from the seminar.

‘He showed some very slick and effective techniques and transitions for MMA,’ he said.

‘The breakdown of each technique was very precise and thorough as he went over each movement.’

M1FC member Abanob Girgis said he love the seminar ‘and got so much from it’.

‘Everything he taught was very well constructed and easy to learn ” techniques we will be able to apply in the sport,’ Brett Collum added.
