The Falcons were in control of the Leederville Oval match from the outset, recording an 18.8 (116) to 7.6 (48) victory on Sunday.

The side will look to make amends for last year’s grand final loss to South Fremantle when they face Subiaco at Subiaco Oval this weekend.

West Perth needs an improved performance from its second semi-final meeting against the Lions, where it was dealt a 56-point defeat.

Against Claremont, the Falcons’ league-experienced players led proceedings, with lively ball user Brayden Antonio booting five goals and Trent Manzone taking 31 disposals.

Premiership player Matt Fowler kicked four majors, while speedster Kris Shannon racked up 23 disposals and two goals as one of West Perth’s best.

The Falcons turned it on in the second half with 11 goals to Claremont’s four.

On Sunday, they’ll be chasing the club’s first Reserves premiership in 54 years, their last in 1960.
