The Roos saw out the majority of the first day at Cresswell Park to record 266 from 82.1 overs; a sound score, but not out of reach for the home side.

The innings featured no triple-figure stands but contributions throughout the batting order secured the competitive total.

Joel Charles top scored with an unbeaten 59 late in the innings.

Rob Richards (41), Jake Fawcett (36) and Donavinn Fryer (47) made handy totals.
