The West Coast Falcons, that is.
The elite State Netball League club will return to its roots from 2014, changing its name back to foundation name the Warriors.
The club was known as the Warriors from 1989 until 2005, but in 2006 changed its name and colours to match that of local WAFL club West Perth.
But the team, which features some of WA’s best netballers, has revived its heritage and will now wear purple, green, white and black.
These colours are already used to represent the wider West Coast Netball Region.
President Trish Robinson said it was important the same colours were used throughout the region as part of the development pathway.
‘Work is being done on the new uniform, and the region is looking forward to a new-look Warriors taking the court in 2014,’ she said.
The club recently held its awards night where Numi Tupaea took the Jenny Peel Medal as the league side’s best player.
Kate Schleicher was named runner-up for the medal and also received the League Players Player award.
