The initiative garnered enough interest to field four sides in the Wanneroo District Netball Association competition.
Whitfords now boasts almost 300 playing members across its netball program and the club’s seven WA Amateur Football League sides.
Football club president Brad Johnson is buoyed by the direction the club is heading.
‘The positive response to the netball club from the community highlights the valuable service our club provides,’ he said.
