A score of 16.44 points was not enough to beat Margaret River local Jerome Forrest who took the open men’s division and $500 prize on 17.03pts.

Forrest pulled out some of his best surfing on his way to the open men’s final, scoring the ‘wave of the weekend’ for the event’s only perfect 10-point ride in his semi-final.

Woodvale’s Steve Pozzi also performed well, winning the over-60 duke men’s division and coming second in the over-55 kahuna men’s.
