Falcons fly high after season’s success

Wanneroo Junior and Wanneroo Amateur football clubs were awarded junior and senior community club of the year, each receiving $1000.

Junior club president George Kelly was named the district’s Volunteer of the Year, with volunteers from Quinns, Yanchep and Ocean Ridge clubs receiving excellence awards.

Coaches from Quinns Bulls featured heavily in the coaching excellence awards and Umpire of the Year went to Rob Corrigan.

This rounded out a successful year for the district, with Falcons’ Aaron Black this year’s WAFL Sandover medallist and Aidan Lynch awarded the Prendergast Medal in the Reserves.
