Falcons honour milestone men

League runner and former captain Jason Salecic told the pre-game president's lunch that reaching the 150th milestone and life membership was "pretty special" for the former West Coast Eagle.

He described him as loyal after coming back to the club and winning a premiership when delisted by the Eagles.

The club also honoured three-time club champion and 1969 premiership player Bill Valli by presenting him with a Legend's Ball. His photo and playing record, including games with Collingwood and Essendon, is imprinted on the Falcons match ball each week this season.

A grateful Valli said it was a "great, great honour" to be recognised by West Perth, which was "something special to this community".

"I think my daughter here Gemma and my kids will like to see me be kicked around on the football field again and if some of my passion can follow on to those guys out there I will be delighted.

"Again, Brett, magnificent for you to invite me."
