Only Luke Tedesco, Michael Pettigrew and Anthony Tsalikis remain unfit from our best 22. We hope to see Tedesco and Pettigrew back for our first final against Claremont.
As mentioned last week, Tsalikis is out for the season.
We have second place sewn up now, which doesn’t change too much, but it does allow us to plan two weeks ahead.
We know we’re going to face Claremont at Claremont Oval, so it’s given us the opportunity to drill our set plays and structures in preparation for the second semi-final.
That said, our current focus is this weekend’s game, where we can put those set plays into practice.
The Swans’ motivation will be to retain their spot in the top four and possibly get a home final.
If they lose, it’s possible they could miss the finals.
The Swan Districts and West Perth games over the last two or three years have been really good contests.
We expect another tight battle this weekend.
As a final note, it was exciting to sign with the club for another three years.
I enjoy working at the Falcons and have great faith in the young group of players coming through.
But there’s still some work to be done this season, so that remains my biggest focus.
