Sandilands will be on hand to share his football knowledge with children.
The launch party will offer youngsters football, netball and soccer clinics, as well as sack races and a tug of war.
The park was built as part of land developer Stockland’s Amberton estate. Stockland WA general manager Col Dutton was excited the AFL’s tallest player would feature at the opening.
“It is not every day you get to rub shoulders with one of the greats of the AFL,’’ he said.
The first 150 children at the event, from 10am to noon, will receive a free breakfast.
