Two local hurling teams will battle it out in the Irish sport, likened to an aerial version of hockey and regarded as one of the fastest ball games in the world.
The Irish-themed day will also feature a tug-of-war competition, sausage sizzle, appearance by former hurling great Jim O’Connell and an opportunity for children to play a game of Gaelic football.
The March 29 event is from 1pm to 5pm at Beldon Park, with the hurling game to start at 2pm, and Irish festivities to continue after at Beldon Tavern.
