Funding home run

The clubroom upgrade received the biggest portion of the $5,359,178 total funding allocated to the sports centre.

The funding includes State Government loans of $1.5 million carried forward from last year and $920,000 of new funding as well as $280,000 contributed from other grants or sources.

The City contributed $1.5 million carried forward from last year and almost $1 million of new funding.

Another $79,311 was allocated for the provision of transportable toilets and showers, baseball diamond, three back nets, scorers boxes and dug outs.

A further $2,218,795 was carried forward for staged redevelopment works and another $412,686 for building upgrades and indoor stadium fixtures.
