Heritage round always a blast

We’ve got a fantastic culture at this club and whenever an opportunity arises to bring something back from our history, it’s always well received by our fantastic fans and organisation. It will be another fiery and testy match-up against the Melbourne Tigers this Friday night.

The last time they played us at Perth Arena, well-loved (not really) Tiger Mark Worthington hit a game winning three-pointer.

They have a very talented line-up with Chris Goulding leading them from the front and a great big man in Scott Morrison.

Tommy Greer is one of the hardest working players in the NBL and with Lucas Walker back in the mix, it will add another athletic player to the fold.

This week will be extra special for me as it will be my 100th game.

Idolising players from the Wildcats growing up, you could always find me pretending to be Ricky Grace, Andrew Vlahov and, of course, Eric Watterson at my local basketball hoop.

To reach 100 games is something I’m incredibly proud of.

At one stage, I wondered whether I would ever play a game for the club I absolutely loved.

Now to be a part of a special leadership group and fantastic bunch of guys, I’ll look back at this game with the fondest of memories.

Hopefully, it’s another fantastic win and another blockbuster encounter at the Perth Arena.
