The 18-year-old will compete in the under-19 men’s team following his strong performance at the 2014 Under-19 Road National Championships held in Canberra earlier this month, where he came third in the 118km road race.
He also won bronze in the road race at the 2014 Oceania Road Cycling Championships held in Queensland in February.
He will join five other national road team debutants ” Michael Storer (North Perth), Lucas Hamilton (Victoria), James Thompson (Queensland), Anna-Leeza Hull (NSW) and Macey Stewart (Tasmania) ” and one returning member from the 2013 championships ” time trial bronze medallist Alexandra Manly (SA).
