NORTHERN Beaches Cycling Club (NBCC) will hold a free cycling event for children to get a taste of criterium road racing on Sunday.
It will hold the December 4 event on the Glory Road circuit in Gnangara, with short course racing from grades A to E for women, men and juniors.
Children will feature in the middle of the event with their own chance to ride on the course using any bike they like whilst being cheered on by spectators and getting ‘race’ commentary.
Adults who are new to racing can also get a free coaching session on racing technique prior to their registered graded race.
NBCC welcomes members of all experience and ability to their club and encourages more women to have a go at road cycling.

On the same day, West Coast Masters Cycling Council will host masters racing at Innovation Circuit, Wangara.
Suitable for women over 30 and men over 35, NBCC prides itself on its welcoming and inclusive squad for cyclists of all skill levels.
Membership with the club is included when you join West Coast Masters via wcmasterscycling.asn.au – forward the receipt to email@example.com and nominate to join NBCC upon race registration.
The regular Sunday social club ride will leave Clarkson at 6.30am and pick up riders en route to the Gnangara and Wangara events.
This is suitable for road cyclists with moderate fitness and a passion for coffee.
