Sorrento Surf Life Saving Club member won junior women’s division of Sorrento Challenge

The junior competition for under-17s included a 600m ocean swim, 3.5km ocean board paddle and 2.5km run, which Macarah finished in 51:37.

Marmion teen Callum Duffy, of Trigg Island SLSC, won the junior men’s division also in 51min 37sec.

In the senior divisions, the competition included a 1.2km ocean swim, 7km ocean ski paddle and 7.5km run.

City of Perth SLSC’s Kent Jenkinson won the men’s division in 1hr 27min 45sec, while Julie Greenhalgh took the women’s in 1hr 48min 11sec.

The 10th annual challenge, co-hosted with North Coast Triathlon Club, had 69 competitors.
