Kayden Minear takes top spot at WAMX Junior State Championships

With plenty of rain leading up to the event, competitors were met with a heavy track but the weather had fined up for racing.

In the 50cc auto class, Kayden Minear started the round as the series leader and sealed the state championship from Seth Clark and Jake Rumens.

Tyler Soloman was crowned champion of the 65cc seven to under-10s, while Jake Harvey was runner-up and Minear third.

In the 65cc 10 to 12 years, Cody Chittick took the title ahead of Liam Atkinson and Seth Manuel.

But in the 85/150cc nine to 12 years, Atkinson won from Chittick with Manuel again third.

Local rider Regan Duffy was runner-up for the 85/150cc 12 to 16 years class, with Mitch Outram winning the championship and Jacob Daniels in third place.

Outram was also crowned the 100/125cc 13 to 15 years champion ahead of Mat Fabry and Kurt Oinn.

Justin Hart secured the championships in the 100/125cc 15 years class, followed by Jonathon Hartley and Dale Doutch, and the 128-150cc/250cc class ahead of Fabry and Hartley.

Presentations will be held at the Peel Thunder Football Club on November 14, tickets available from www.wamx.com.au.

– Round five of the WAMX Senior State Championship will be held at Coastal Park, Henderson this Sunday, including the final round of the quad championship.
