Motocross club hosts Kid of the Sand competition

WANNEROO Junior Motocross Club will hold its annual Kid of the Sand competition Sunday, August 18.

The weekend is the highlight of the Pinjar Park track’s calendar, with organisers tipping it to be their best yet for all off-road motorcycle enthusiasts.

Secretary Nicol Novello said the club had always been proud of the way it challenged junior riders with differing track conditions, making for “more exciting racing for both two and four-wheelers”.

Spectator entry and parking is free and there will be canteen and bar facilities as well as a playground for children.

Practice starts 7.45am with racing from about 9am at 60 Pederick Road, Neerabup.

Raffle tickets will be available for $20, with all money raised going towards improving club facilities.
