It was the fourth time the Joondalup-based team has won the State Basketball League title, snapping an 18-year drought.

The men’s team couldn’t match the women’s grand final success, narrowly losing to Lakeside Lightning.

The City is proud to support the the Wanneroo Basketball Association, with more than 2000 members.

It is looking forward to working with the association as it prepares for a move to Arena Joondalup after the council approved $4 million towards the upgrade of facilities at the arena. The development will result in additional indoor courts and a new home for the association.
