The last-gasp 14.9 (93) to 14.8 (92) triumph lifted the Falcons from seventh to fourth on percentage, with Perth, South Fremantle and East Fremantle all breathing down their neck.

West Perth’s last-minute win over Peel at Arena Joondalup, which came courtesy of a clutch set shot goal from veteran Anthony Tsalikis, was one of belief.

At 30 points down heading into the final term, the side had fallen in a hole.

It was a steep climb, but inch by inch the players worked their way up and, at the death knell, scrambled over the top.
