Olivia destined for international stage

Olivia recently returned from Brisbane where she won a gold medal in her age group.

Now she will be spending the two-week Christmas break training for the world cadet Tae Kwon Do championship in Baku, Azerbaijan early next year.

Although the Greenwood Primary School student is not sure where she wants to take her career just yet, she has accomplished much since starting the sport very young at the age of three.

‘This is the fourth one (Australian competition) I’ve competed in and I’ve won all of them,’ Olivia said.

‘My coach offered certain people to take extra training and compete in Bali.

‘I went but I didn’t win.’

The black belt (2nd pum level 4 ranked)martial arts student has even trained in adult classes.

‘I like training with them because they’re more experienced, they train hard and there’s a lot to learn from them,’ she said.
