Phoenix team back to clash with Dolphins on Saturday

Staff WriterWanneroo Times

The competition will take a two-week break during the Christmas and New Year period, leaving the Phoenix to play its only game in more than a month this Saturday against the Dolphins.

Last week, the Phoenix did not play against the City Beach Bears because of a forfeit after the unavailability of players involved in the National Water Polo League’s opening round.

Then this past Saturday, the Phoenix had the bye in the competition while the Melville Marlins defeated Triton 8-4 at Bicton Pool, and the City Beach Bears downed the Dolphins 15-6.

Those results leave the Melville Marlins (9-1) on top of the ladder ahead of the Phoenix (5-5), Triton (4-6), City Beach Bears (4-5, one draw) and the Dolphins (2-7, one draw).
