Eight State Swim Joondalup competitors were named champions or runners-up after the biannual State Swim Perth Interschool Carnival, with the next closest school East Fremantle having four.
Training and development co-ordinator Diane Palmer said there were about 350 swimmers competing from the seven Perth State Swim schools.
Joondalup’s champions were Ellie Lyons (girls nine years), Morgan Banfield (boys 10 years) and Ben Price (boys 15 years) and runners-up were Zian Richter (boys under-eight), Jarrod Wood (boys nine years), Byron Banfield (boys under-14), Madeli Bester (girls under-14) and Damon Bogdanich (boys over-15).
