Druery was recently crowned School Boy champion for the 40kg class at the Australian Boxing Championships.
The Butler youngster triumphed 10-9 in a tight three-round battle over Queenslander Sam Cameron-Hands, who defeated him at last year’s national Golden Gloves bout.
His coach Justin Lacey, owner of Clarkson gym LivFit, said the national title was everything they had been working towards so far.
