Rugby WA events to encourage more women to pick up the ball

EVENTS to celebrate the growth of women’s rugby in WA are planned at Wanneroo and Rockingham clubs in February.

The Females in Union events will provide an opportunity for women and girls across WA to get together and promote the female game.

RugbyWA development officers will run various activities engaging both women and girls to get involved and pass around the footy.

Wanneroo Rugby Club will host the first event on February 1 from 8.30am to noon at Kingsway Reserve in Madeley, while the Rockingham club will host an event on February 29 from 10am to noon at Lark Hill Sporting Complex.
