Joondalup faces Perth tonight.

The fourth-placed Wolves will be expected to beat ninth-placed Perth, particularly with home court advantage and the sting of their first loss of the season still fresh in their minds from last weekend.

The Wolves rarely lose two games straight. Joondalup returned winless from the tough road trip to Geraldton, the Buccaneers defeating the defending champions 101-96 on Saturday.

The visitors jumped to a 13-point lead at half-time, but the hosts pulled it back to a one-point margin heading into the final term.

Wolves captain Seb Salinas produced a solid all-round display with 14 points, seven rebounds and four assists.

Guard Ben Ironmonger produced his best of the season with 11 points, six rebounds, four assists and an equal game-high three steals. Prolific contributor Kevin Davis took a team high 23 points and game-high 16 rebounds.

Geraldton’s Matthew Adekponya returned the only other double-double for the contest with 26 points and 14 rebounds.

The loss put Joondalup 2-1 for the season.
