Local schools competing in the WA School Surfing Titles include Prendiville College, Mindarie Senior College and Carine SHS.

Each school fields a team of two surfers and bodyboarders in junior and senior divisions.

Winning teams will go through to the State final at Trigg on August 22.

‘The school titles are a great chance for us to engage with kids who actively surf and are interested in developing their skills further,’ Surfing WA events manager Justin Majeks said.

‘We have a great relationship with many of the coastal high schools and the chance for kids to compete in a surf event during a school day is something they all really enjoy.’
