The Marinko brothers, Don and Ray, were guests of the club at a pre-game function, which was addressed by dual premiership player (1995, ’99) Paul Mifka. The Marinkos each played more than 150 games for the then Cardinals.

The brothers were part of the team’s 1960 five-goal grand final win over arch-rival East Perth.
