ST Stephen’s School students are now treading the same surface as that scuffed by the world’s best tennis players at the Australian Open.

The Carramar campus recently opened its multisport facility, including a centre court coated in the same mix as the battle grounds at Melbourne Park, which hosts Australia’s grand slam event.

The court will double as a basketball and netball area and has a soft running track around the perimeter. Head of primary Darnelle Pretorius said the new surface meant students could play in high-level surrounds.
