State Motocross Championships: Josh Adams has slender lead over Luke Davis

Tyler BrownHills Avon Valley Gazette

LOCAL lad Josh Adams currently leads the MX2 division heading in to round three of the senior State Motocross Championships on July 10.

Despite coming second in round two at Noble Falls on June 19, his total score of 200 has kept his lead, just nine points ahead of round winner Luke Davis.

Winning the first two races of the day, Adams was looking to secure top spot until he was involved in a first corner crash in the last race.

Scott Petricevich took three wins in the veteran’s class ahead of Ben Hothersall and Brendon Parnham, as did Jamie Nickless in the All Powers Challenge, ahead of Ricky Ladiszlai and Travis Tuck.

In the MX 1 repechage, Nathaniel Keen won the day from Tyrone Ballantyne and Tim Dunstan, while Cameron Willsher won the MX2 repechage from Zac Keast and Cameron Ross.
