STRATEGY will come in to play as the State Road Racing Championships head into the business end of the five-round competition with round four at Barbagallo Raceway this Sunday.

Though local rider Matt Price had a strong performance in the last round, Edgewater’s Sam Clarke continues to lead the supersport championship with a 52-point lead from brothers Leigh and Tim Boujos who are battling for second and third with only one point between them.

Clarke has 209 points with Leigh on 157, Tim on 156 and Price fourth on 139.

In the superbike division, Ben Stronach has a slight championship lead with 17 points separating him from local rider Ralph Mammoliti on 169 and Adam Chambers just behind on 165.

Fellow locals Adam Senior and Keith Harrison round out the top five on 156 and 135.

Harrison also has a strong lead in the superbike C grade series.

Despite a crash last round, Scott Pettit leads the 125GP championship on 215 points from David Manson on 175 and David Doughty on 168.

The production series returns this round with Lachlan Keogh leading the up to 300cc class and Ray Tschorn leading the over-300cc class.

There will also be racing in the clubman 600cc and 1000cc divisions.

Warm-up is at 9am with racing from 10.50am.

Tickets are $20 for adults and free for children aged 15 and younger.
