This year marked 100 years of the national competition and the inaugural Youth Championships where Jones finished 11th in the 2km beach run.
Joining Jones in Queensland were another seven water competitors, one beach competitor and three surfboat crews taking the club to eight finals and 11 semi-finals.
Ben Jones was a standout performer, making the finals of the under-19 ironman and under-19 surf race.
He then teamed up with Brett and Wes Gould to make the finals of the board and taplin relays.
Brett Gould also finished eighth in the final of the under-19 surf race while Clara Thiede and the team of Russell Gould, Carlo Tenaglia, Guy Edwards and Jenni Wood came seventh in the belt race.
Of the boat crews, the under-19 Steelers crew finished fifth in the quarter-final, the open men�s Strokemore crew finished fourth in the reserve grade semi-final and the Steelers, Strokemore and open women�s Marlin team combined in the surf boat relay to come fourth in the semi-final.
