Upgrades to benefit cricket and footy clubs

Joondalup Council approved the funding at its May meeting.

Clubrooms at Admiral Park, home to Ocean Ridge Junior Cricket Club and Whitford and Districts Senior Cricket Club, will be refurbished and floodlighting will be improved at an estimated cost of $858,990.

The upgrades will allow Joondalup and Districts Rugby League Club to play at the ground.

New clubrooms, including toilets, change rooms, a meeting room, kitchen and kiosk will be built at Hawker Park, home to the Warwick Greenwood Junior and Senior Cricket Club and Warwick Greenwood Junior Football Club.

Synthetic cricket practice nets, upgrades to floodlighting and the tennis and basketball areas, as well as replacement of playground equipment, are also part of the $2.74m project.
