Bailey Nylander was the Roos’ most prolific batsman scoring 36, while six of the Roos batsmen failed to reach double figures.

After winning the toss and electing to bat on Saturday, Wanneroo found itself instantly under fire.

Chris Chellew went on an early rampage, taking the first four wickets to have the Roos rattled at 5-77.

A 37-run partnership between Kyle Millar and Nylander looked to have the Roos back on track, boosting the total to 114.

However, after Millar was dismissed for 22, the final four wickets came soon after, as Wanneroo was bowled out for a disappointing score.

With a small total to chase and plenty of firepower in the batting line-up, South Perth skipped away to 2-56, looking set to claim a first-innings win.

However, Cattrall dominated the final overs of the day, taking three quick wickets to have South Perth struggling at 5-76 and putting the game back in the balance.
