WANNEROO⿿S season is back on track after an upset victory over second-placed Melville boosted the Roos from 10th to seventh in WACA Premier Cricket.

In what’s proving to be a tight competition, the Storm’s loss at Tompkins Park on Saturday dropped them down to sixth spot.

Wanneroo successfully defended 360 on day two, with the hosts timed out on 9-336.

Former WA batsman Luke Towers led the charge for Melville with 149.

Wanneroo bowler Mathew Dzodzos continued his solid form with 3-60.

The Roos face 13th-placed Subiaco Floreat in the upcoming round beginning on Saturday.
