THE Wanneroo Junior Motocross Club is hoping an open day this weekend might trigger a new sporting passion for a future talent.

The club is opening its gates on Sunday for anyone aged from four to 18 to try their hand on two-wheelers and quads for free.

Riders will be given a “come and try” licence, but if they have attended the event in previous years they will need to pay $30 for a one-day recreational licence.

The club will hold a second come and try day on February 19.

Pits open at 7am at the Pederick Road track, with riding to start at 9am.

Participants must wear safety gear.
