Club coach Konrad Frankee, one of the three WA-based coaches for the squad, said training for the world championship would start this year.

‘A number of these Wanneroo players were part of the WA under-15s premiership team in 2013 and then went on to win the Australian under-15 championship as part of the Northern Thunder Lacrosse Team and have been selected in the WA team for the Australian under-18 championships in Bendigo next month,’ Frankee said.

‘We have high expectations that Wanneroo Lacrosse Club will be well-represented in the final Australian team. It will take a lot of hard work and dedication, but these guys are ready to represent their country, and will make the club, WA and Australia proud.’
