Wanneroo show real dominance

The under-14s stood as the strongest of the bunch, taking out an incredible seventh-straight title.

The rugby union club’s junior sides won four major premierships and five minor premierships.

Seven teams played finals, with six of them making it to the big dance.

Club chairman Andy Ayling said the club fielded as many teams as possible to minimise the time the young players spent on the sideline.

‘Many players benefit from playing multiple games each weekend, which in return maximises development and enjoyment,’ he said.

The club registered 451 players into 35 teams in 2014.

Thirty footballers were selected for regional representation across the under-14, under-15 and under-16 competitions.
